GRIEF
“Grief, when it comes, is never what we expect it to be.”
I am trained to talk about death and dying, to talk about end of life dreams and wishes. I am here to provide the comforting emotions and spiritual care you want and need.
As an End of Life Doula, I am dedicated to restoring death to its sacred place in the beauty, mystery and celebration of life.
I am certified as an End of Life Doula by The Conscious Dying Institute in Boulder, CO. My training was facilitated by Tarron Estes, founder of the Institute.
Through the years, I have worked with clients facing their own mortality, as well as those grieving the loss of loved ones. My first experience being with dying was in 1988 at my father’s side as he died of cancer at home. In the mid-nineties, I had the honor of sitting vigil with people suffering with HIV symptoms and dying of AIDS.
With the loss of my eldest sister who died in a nursing home, I was reminded how important it is to be patient and gentle with ourselves and allow plenty of time to grieve.
I am here to help you cope with your feelings of grief and loss. Please contact me if you think I can be of service to you.
