Creativity
“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”
Perhaps your inner artist needs to be nurtured. I am drawn to working creatively with people.
I will guide you in using a variety of art techniques—no artistic skills necessary here! Art supplies might include paper, scissors, glue, paint, crayons, etc. Sometimes it feels good to get out of the thinking mind and into creating something. Not only is it relaxing but it can also be satisfying and it may even provide a window into a deeper sense of self.
I am especially excited about working with Kintsugi, the ancient Japanese craft of repairing/rejoining broken pottery using gold leaf paint to enhance the cracks. Through honoring this transformation process, the rebuilt piece is valued for being unique. What a beautiful metaphor for our lives and how loss and change eventually bring growth, perspective and open the way for a new beginning.
